Matt Woodruff

Matt helps schools and Trusts turn data into meaningful information to make more informed decisions and help to improve outcomes. Matt has a prior background with Microsoft and other international technology companies and has led public sector Business Intelligence projects in the UK. Internationally, he has advised at MOE level in Malta, Russia, and Kazakhstan on technology-enhanced learning, analytics and AI.

A technologist at heart, Matt has been active as a Primary additional skills governor for 14 years and currently serves as Chair. He holds a Masters degree in Online Learning and is a PhD student in the field of AI in Education at the University of Surrey. Publications include predictive modelling for Progress 8, and current research interests focus on ethical algorithms in K-12 assessment and safeguarding contexts. He also has three children, is married to a teacher, and leads a Microsoft Partner recognised for competence in Data Analytics.

David Willingham

David Willingham has over 15 years of experience in the Education sector and was formerly the Schools Technology and Data Director for the Archdiocese of New York. During his career, he supported large numbers of schools and districts incorporate best practices in instructional technology, infrastructure and data analytics. As part of Community Brands, he currently helps Multi-Academy Trusts implement effective technologies to manage, understand and easily visualise core data to maximise students’ outcomes.
